The Krishna Janmashtami
celebration at the Gurukul is a vibrant and spiritually enriching event, marking the birth of Lord Krishna. The festivities begin with a Satsang, where devotees gather to sing bhajans and share inspiring stories about Krishna’s life. One of the highlights is the Matki Phod, where participants form human pyramids to break a pot filled with curd, symbolizing Krishna’s playful nature and love for butter.

As the night unfolds, the atmosphere is filled with energy as everyone joins in Garba, a traditional dance characterized by circular movements and joyous clapping. The celebration culminates with the Aarti, a heartfelt ritual of worship, where light is offered to Krishna’s idol, accompanied by devotional songs. Following the Aarti, prasad is distributed, fostering a sense of community and shared blessings among participants. This celebration not only honors Krishna’s teachings but also strengthens the bonds of spirituality and tradition within the community.
