Shakotsav Celebration

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore recently celebrated Shakotsav, a unique festival that honors the humble millet grain. This event was a delightful blend of tradition, health, and fun.

The day began with a series of engaging games and activities that promoted physical fitness and teamwork. Students actively participated in various sports and traditional games, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Following the games, a soulful session of bhajan-bhakti filled the air with divine vibrations. Students chanted sacred mantras and sang devotional songs, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The highlight of the day was the special lunch, which featured a delicious array of millet-based dishes. The menu included nutritious delicacies such as Brinjal Curry, Ragi Mudde, Millet Bread, Rice, and Mirchi Bhaji and Green & Red Chutney. Students not only enjoyed a wholesome and flavorful meal but also embraced the health benefits associated with this ancient grain.
