On 10th July 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Near Mysore observed the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima with great spiritual enthusiasm and devotion. This sacred celebration, centered around the theme ‘Respecting Guru,’ served as a powerful reminder of the irreplaceable role of a Guru in guiding, uplifting, and transforming lives.

The event was gracefully led by Principal Shriharsha Joshi, Jay Ahir Sir, Satish Sir, Suraj Sir, Bharat Sir, and all faculty members of Gurukul Mysore, whose collective presence and involvement made the event profoundly impactful. The highlight of the celebration was the divine Pushpa Vrishti (showering of flowers) ritual, offered with deep reverence to Pujyapad Shri DharmaJeevan Dasji Swamiji, Guru Maharaj Shri Devkrushna Dasji Swamiji, and Mahanth Swamiji Shri Devprasad Dasji Swamiji.

The floral tribute symbolized the blossoming of knowledge, virtues, and values under the shelter of a true Guru. The occasion was enriched by insightful speeches and guidance from the school leaders, emphasizing that a true Guru is the one who dispels ignorance and lights the path of righteousness and clarity. Students and staff were urged to reflect on the key message of the day: “A true Guru shows the right path in life.”

The atmosphere was spiritually charged as every Gurukulite—both students and staff—actively participated in the rituals and prayers with full devotion. The program cultivated a deep sense of gratitude, respect, and spiritual awakening, anchoring the bond between the Guru and the disciple in the hearts of all.

This Guru Poornima celebration at Gurukul served as a beautiful spiritual milestone, reinforcing the Gurukul’s mission to blend education with timeless values and spiritual wisdom. It was a day that not only honored the Gurus but also inspired every participant to walk on the path shown by them with sincerity, devotion, and purpose.
